Day 221: Going With What Seems Right Acts 15:23-28

Day 221: Going With What Seems RightActs 15:23-28With them they sent the following letter: The apostles and elders, your brothers, To the Gentile believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia: Greetings. We have heard that some went out from us without our authorization and disturbed you, troubling your minds by what they said. So we all agreed to choose some men and send them to you with our dear friends Barnabas and PaulÑ men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to confirm by word of mouth what we are writing. It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements...Thoughts for Today:Thursdays are trash days in our neighborhood. Day 220: The Benefit of Support Acts 15:22

Day 220: The Benefit of SupportActs 15:22Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, two men who were leaders among the brothers.Thoughts for Today:One day when I was in high school my younger sister came home from school crying. It seems some older boys had been picking on her as she walked home from school. My mom immediately interrupted my homework, told me what was going, and off we went in the car to look for the boys who had caused the problem. Before too long we found a group of about five boys hanging out in the park. Now my sister was six years younger than me, and I was a senior in high school so I thought I would be dealing with some kids around 11 or 12 years old, which would be no match for a football jock like me. You can imagine my surprise when I realized the group was not only from my age group, but also contained some of the…See More

Well, the next 4 years were hard but I made it through them.  Standing in lines at any store was a horrible experience each time. By the time I got to the checkout, I'd be shaking and sweating like mad. I couldn't write a check as my hands shook too much.  So I decided to learn the grocery store aisles so that I could shop faster and get it done sooner.  I also had my check all made out except for the price.  During that time I read in the paper that there were oil painting classes starting in the Simi Valley Adult School.  I signed up and took the lessons for 2 years.  They were only $3 per semester and we could buy our canvases through the school which was a lot cheaper than going to a store to buy them. In the next few years I took pastels and then finally watercolors.  All of my excess nervous energy went into my paintings.  I would love to get back into painting and hopefully will soon.  I sold several paintings, one a pastel of Jesus and I loved it.I won't go into all the abuses…See More

Man changes. God never changes! He's the Same Yesterday, Today and Forever!

A Christian social network of J and L Ministries FOLLOWING CHRIST IN A WORLD THAT IS NOT.

Dear Cross Roads Family, Please keep all prayer requests on your personal prayer lists at home. We should be praying for our brothers and sisters here continually. We are to keep them in our prayers because we love our neighbors as ourselves, right? We should also be thankful with others in their Praise Reports. It will bless your lives along with theirs.

May God truly bless each and everyone of you,

    Jim and Leanna Kinson

We at Cross Roads Fellowship are like family. There are some here who have witnessed God's blessings,  healing, strength and love. There are some here who I know without a doubt are prayer warriors and that blesses my heart, because I know that I have someone praying over this place, my marriage, ministries and every member here daily. Does that not excite you? I would urge each and every one of you to check out the prayer and praise tab on a daily basis and to share  love of Jesus. I would also urge you to put your prayer requests here and all praises.

    God bless you,

Real Christian's pray for the Jewish people who have always been in persecution. There is a time of great suffering about to hit Israel and those who try to come against her in the very near future. According to what God's Word says, wars will come, and they are.

If you listen, watch, or read any news, you are going to hear about Israel. Our duty as Christians is to stop and listen, because anything you hear from now till the glorious day our Savior comes back will be very important not only to Israel but also to you. This is why all Christians should be praying daily for Israel. Praying for the Jews. We are entering a time of prophesy that does not look good for the world. I have shared this in many Bible studies that I have lead, for the believers who are following Jesus with all their heart, mind, soul and strength, will see favor and protection. This is another reason why I urge you to be praying for your neighbors and family members that don't know Jesus. It really is that important. We should pray for Israel, daily.

    God bless you,

Life and Storms – Luke 8:24

"He woke up and rebuked the wind and the raging waves; they ceased, and there was a calm."

Sometimes the challenges of life come at you in all directions causing raging storms. You feel you've been overtaken by these storms and you can't keep your head above water. You feel frantic. What do you do? How do you keep these storms from taking over and from tossing you back and forth?

Some days our faith is very high. Then there are other days when we feel overwhelmed and powerless, that there is little hope. On those days, we need to gently remind ourselves that there IS hope. Jesus was asleep in the boat with His disciples when the raging sea storm tossed their boat violently back and forth. The disciples were frantic. They awoke Jesus asking him to help. Jesus spoke, "Peace, be still", and the waves calmed. He said to them, "Where is your faith?".
Where is our faith today? Do we allow life's raging storms to overtake us, stealing our joy and causing doubt? Or do we call out to Jesus asking him to "calm the storm"? Rebuke those storms and say, "Peace, Be Still"! Have faith in the power of God that He will bring you safely through."

Friends if you don't know the Lord I pray that you open your heart to him and allow the Lord in your life.  Each of us face storms and this is the time we need to turn to the Lord for strength and courage.

    God Blessings !!

    GLORY and FELLOWSHIP in Christ

Jesus in our fellowship family keeps us together and gives us hope, makes us love each other stronger then if we did not have Him. He helps us keep our eyes open in this world of chaos. Opened wide for the things the enemy would have to destroy us. JESUS, is the way, the truth and the life. And none of us will see even a glimpse of glory without Him as our Savior and Lord. JESUS, is our only hope on this site, in our lives, in our communities and in our different churches. Help us, "Oh Lord" give us the desire to fellowship with one another as often as possible.  If we loose that fellowship then we loose the meaning of CRF and why it's here.

We need each other just as we all as individuals need you personally in our life.

Help us to always give you ALL GLORY for every little thing here on CRF. Because without the Lord we are nothing. You are everything and help us Lord to realize that in every aspect of our lives that You Lord, must always come first in ALL situations. Where else could we go, and who should we go to but to you Oh Lord. Thank you JESUS. Thank you for our salvation. We give thanks for being with us as we go to worldly sites to witness to the religious lost. Also to witness to those who think being a good person or a church member or even baptized as a child is "all it takes" to get to heaven.

Father give us the desire to be better, bolder and more convincing in our witness as our time here on this earth grows shorter. We thank you LORD in advance, for the Amazing things you will do here in this wonderful Spirit filled place. In your precious Name The Name of JESUS, we ask it.

    AMEN & AMEN !

    HOLY SPRIRIT - Rev 4: 1-11

Rev 4:1  After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

Rev 4:2  And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
Rev 4:3  And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
Rev 4:4  And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
Rev 4:5  And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
Rev 4:6  And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
Rev 4:7  And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
Rev 4:8  And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
Rev 4:9  And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
Rev 4:10  The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
Rev 4:11  Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
